Lac La Chaussee

Mike and Amanda would like to welcome you to Lac La Chaussee.  This carp fishery is situated in the Orne region of Lower Normandy.  It is approximately 15 minutes from Pre en Pail (pronounced Pray on Pie) where you will find supermarkets, garages, bakers and butchers, just about everything you will need during your stay in France.

The Lake is at least 200 years old and dates back to pre Napoleonic times. 

It is 12 acres with an average depth of 1.80 meters (around 5ft).  It is surrounded by all manner of trees and bushes overhanging the lake surface.

It has been running as a fishery since 2008 when the previous owner added 2 tonnes of carp to 35lbs, mirrors, commons and 7 Koi.  Since then the lake has seen carp up to 59lb.
